I would love to get 700k's to a tank! Jassed22 i'd be lucky to get into 500ks ? I spoke to Rankin Diesel in Bayswater and he said it should be puffing smoke if it was an injector and it might be maf sensor ? Anyone else had this issue with a maf sensor? I have noticed a litle more smoke at start up..

I did -with the RIGHT stuff as told! Maf sensor cleaner ! I will do it again on the way over to Bayswater.. Danm -I have rear diff issues and it needs re-building and some caster wedges fitted, the front diff needs to be dropped and now this..
The zd30 doesnt have a maf sensor. Its a map sensor. Not sure what it would be. Surely it isnt the injectors if you only just had them done! What injector cleaner do you use? Iv been using liqui molly clean and boost for a while now. Engine runs a bit smoother and queiter. And it raises the cetane level of diesel. Car goes heaps better on it!
yep only use liquid molly or moreys "if that's how it's spelt" - injector cleaner boost etc engine flush every 2nd oil change and oil additive.. I recommend the engine flush guys, I had the sump off to do the rear main seal "properly'' and the sump was spotless as well as the internals-magic stuff!
ok well I cleaned the 2 sensors I could see 1 on the air box and 2 the one up near the rocker cover on the intake pipe ? is there any others?
ahhh well Jased22 the crew that fitted the injectors and timing chain left the "banjo" bolt on the return spill line in the head lose and filled the engine up with diesel ! So who knows what they have done- maybe they just cleaned them and stuck them back in ! who knows- f'n swine's they are!
But yes Jased22 I am a big wrap for liquid molly- seriously the internal walls on the block, head etc had none of that black/brown crap on them- the mate who was drinking my bourbon and handing me spanners actually asked if I had the engine re-built it was that clean. and yes the injector stuff makes mine sound quieter and run smother also, you should give the oil additive a go! I have been running it since I fitted the new turbo..
I will keep you posted after tomorrows appointments with Rankin Diesel in Bayswater and then the Diff Doctor in Hallem . This bloke in Hallem is highly thought off and after speaking with him he's not just after my cash- he gave me a list to check out first and in my book that shows a lot of cred' .. Most would just say bring it in and give you a bill at the end but this bloke didn't.... Have a look on google every one raves about he's ethics and workmanship!

I haven't tried the engine flush yet. But have been meaning to. Yeah liqui moly is the shit. Way better then any other barnd additives iv ever used. Fark what useless c@#ts. Can be hard to find good service these days. Hopefully these guys look after you tomorrow
Oh yeah and that's putting it politely- it wasn't the owner who knows his shite it was the new owner who at the time was working there as he took over the biz'.. What really shits me is he knew full well I was weeks away from setting of around Au... The little mutt he is. I'm betting the timing chain I ordered from Nissan Warragul that they where to pick up- was actually used but paid for..
The sensor next to the airbox meaures air temp, the one on the intake pipe is the manifold air pressure sensor, neither would affect fuel economy to much but if you unplug the MAP it will have less power. My fuel light comes on around 630ks and takes 65 litres to fill.
Bigger tyres, low tyre pressure, roof racks, bullbars, extra weight all effect fuel economy. Right foot too.

Diesel place, suggested unplugging chip and run a tank to see what the economies like. They took it for a test drive and said it puffed black smoked at take off and likely the chip. He did say when I called them they would scan it but when I asked him if he was going to he wasn't inclined- more interested in selling me a Stinethieft chip! I suggested injector and "get this-Mr Rankins words "oh it wont be an injector they don't give any troubles""...ooooKk
I would rather give my money to the wise fella on here to set up a ecu with he's programme...
I will have to get these injectors looked at- for the price of a rocker cover gasket and a pressure test it's the piece of mind I need after having that cock smasher from w/gul diesel work on it! not Graham the red headed little mutt who I think is the new owner...
Anyone know of or recommend a diesel specialist in the Gippsland's to Melbourne area lol or any where in Victoria ffs
I will take them out myself and take them in so I can watch whoever does them, you know if "you" caught someone stealing money from you would break their f'n fingers would you not.. If you don't hear from me you know I'm keeping "her majesties floors polished" ! seriously the next mutt that "tries it on" i'm venting lol....
