Best turbo replacment option

G-day Guys

getting a little bit of spare money soon. Going to through in a new turbo as the current one has to much play.

I'm just chasing my tail trying to find the answers i'm after on this forum.
please bare with me.

I have compiled a list of Turbos that are within reach but they all have there pros and cons.
From the following has anyone fitted or had/heard any experience with these turbos.

OR a rebuilt turbo.... however i cant source one out that is cheap

High flowed option, however would i need a re-mapped ecu?

Finally any other options????? i have missed

Are eBay turbos a real no go?
Chinese things these days are a hell of a lot better than they used to be.

maybe give Garry at nizzbits a call and get a genuine one, I only ever see great things said about him, plus you have piece of mind it won't blow up and kill your engine resulting in a considerably larger bill than just a new turbo.

Lawry, Mate I just had a new turbo fitted, Try Mike Vines for some info, one of the best modds I have done, now pushing 863Nm at the wheels running 33.4Inch tyres (255/85R16)

Theres some pretty large power numbers but I'm guessing that comes with a price tag?

I can only really afford at the moment around 800. would be well WELL short of that MVT by the looks of it.

These ebay turbos... has anyone had them fitted? how do they perform?

through my business i have sold approx 200+ turbos.....the first 30 were genuine garrett....then after too many failures i changed to china....and have never looked back....with easily 150 sold i have never had one come back...BUT!!!! thats not saying there isnt some absolutely shocking china turbos out there.....just that now i have a factory i trust i stick with them and them only.

These days china turbos are becoming increasingly better.....I doubt you will have a problem with most of the above.

That said...keep waiting for a response maybe someone has used one of the exact sellers above

just stick ya missus hair dryer in it.
put it on cool setting and you shouldnt even need to run an intercooler.

i just replaced my turbo not long ago, got a thread on here somewhere about it. Got it from this bloke,

gave him and ring and he said that he's sold tons of them and never had one sent back yet, backs them with a 12month warranty.
