Blown Gearbox..!

Gearbox let go this morning, 105000 ks 06 3ltr... not happy,
1st gear let go without any warning, just normal black top driving too. Never done any hard work...
am I just unlucky ? Or is it a weak spot in the d22 ?

Lost my first gear 150K about 6 mths ago. When you see the gears they are overly small teeth. Weak point yes. Parts are not cheap.
