Boost gauge rattling, induction pulse?

I previously had an electronic boost gauge which i got from Ebay, turned out to be very inaccurate POS... at idle would read +3 psi and then stop at the lights and it'd go -2 psi. Anyway, after much mucking around with the dodgy ebayer i ditched it for an old mechanical pricol i had lying around. Thing is, i can hear engine pulses coming through it, mostly during gear shift and deceleration. Quite annoying but I'm kind of used to it. Also tried my old boost/vac autometer, just the same.

Anyone else experience this before?

Maybe there's some kind of damper i can put inline?

a lot of gauges come with a filter or restrictor.
but if it still does it then check valve clearance.

Thanks mate, a bit strange for two gauges to be doing it so maybe time to check those clearances. 170000 km s on clock

ahh ok mines doing the same, slight but it's there.... i'll have the valves looked at once the injectors go in .. thanks tweak'e, you know ya shite fella,')
