Hi All

I am wanting to install a E Locker on the front of my 2012 Navara STX 550. I have been in contact with opposite lock & they tell me there is no stock from Harrop for my vehicle till late june early july. I am leaving on a trip on the 26th of June, & I would prefer to have the locker in the car for a couple of weeks before heading off to make sure all is OK. They also had problems determining the diff ratios for my vehicle. The 3.53 ratio is currently out of stock but the 3.69 ratio is in stock. I am not sure which ratio my car has. If anyone can help with the ratio that would be great. The other option is the ARB air locker which I can get installed virtually straight away. It is cheaper than the E locker, but not sure about long term reliability. If anyone knows where I can get an E Locker supplied & installed in Victoria, any info would be appreciated.:tazzy:

Try a diff specialist? They may charge a few hundred more but they will know your diff ratio and will set your diff up correctly

The only reason I can think of is the hemisphere might be a slightly different diamater between the different ratio's.

I would go straight with the air locker if an elocker isnt available in time.
Both have equal reliability, just take it elsewhere for installation. ARB installs have been on occasions done by far less than adequately qualified people

There could be a carrier break hence two different model lockers for the same diff

I'd be pleasantly surprised guys with what is being suggested..Nissans really try to keep things simple and across models

Thanks for your replies

I have actually decided to go for a rear locker, then fit an auto locker in the front at a later stage. The guys at opposite lock are looking into whether a rear E locker is in stock. I Would prefer the E locker due to good reviews & general simplicity. Price is approx. $300 cheaper for the rear E Locker that the front E locker

Cheers
