Carpet floors, pros & cons

Those with carpet floors in your amphibious vehicles, how do you go drying them out after messy water crossings?

Any other pros and cons to carpet?

It is cheaper and easier to keep your door seals in good order than to clean carpets

I did ask the dealer if there was an option on the ST-X for vynil floor and was given a big no so rubber floor mats for me..

Fair enough. The sound deadening under the vinyl rots anyway so it looks like it's slate carpet for me!

Carpet pro's, good sound deadener and comfy. Better insulator I think.

Con's holds dirt and stinks when wet, colder in winter.

I like carpet 90% of the time.

Theres an add on ebay for a vinyl floor on ebay. Think i might give it a go. Am not a fan of vacuuming at all.

well been in the carpet trade i can vinyl my own floor or we have a truck mounted steam cleaner so i can do that pretty well i guess.

my question is to people i see a lot of u putting 6x9 speakers in the door what happens with the water then?? dose it kill the 200 something bucks u spent on speakers??
