Centre console lights flickering when depressing brake pedal V9X engine.

I recently experienced the above mentioned title occurrence after I replaced the brake light bulbs on the two rear tail lights. Apparently even the front park lights seem to flicker when I depress the brake pedal at startup. Has anyone experienced this too, where do I start to look for this fault?

I'd be looking in the trailer plug for any possible damage or cross-connection (eg ants), but also remove the left hand tail light, unplug everything, clean the bulbs AND sockets, then reassemble.

Next thing would be to test the earth points (multimeter between globe casing and vehicle body). It might also be a good idea to pop the brake switches off the pedal, open them and clean them of any black powder - I had a fair bit in mine which inhibited the switch's operation. The switches are really easy to remove, open and reassemble.

Take out the brake light bulbs, see if it still flickers.
