My D40 has a sagging tail, and I'm currently looking at options for a 2" lift and improved rear springs. I'm trying to get a feel for what the clearance should be.

This morning I measured to the bottom of the tow hitch, which came in at at 30cm :confused3: Hardly enough for offroad or tow work. I do have a set of drawers, 40L water and an empty fridge in the tub, but I'm guessing I have a terrible case of the sags.

What do you reckon I should expect for standard springs and a lift? Whats yours?

cheers

I've had ARB's Old Man Emu Dakar dual rate springs installed (before Christmas 2012) and here's a pic of my tow hitch. Took it just a couple of minutes ago.

I'd say yours has sagged. Mine is sitting a little higher than normal - ours got 85mm in the tail rather than 50mm, but there's still a fair difference to yours. Mine is loaded (fridge, camping chairs, some tools, aux battery).

This is mine. I have a canopy, fridge and second battery in the tub.

Not stock suspension though.
