Click sound in gearbox area

Hi guys I have a 2004 d22 3 ltr it’s at 330k it’s been a great Ute, no real issues I’ve had it since 2008, I’ve only had to get a new altinator,and a neutral position switch… but what I have noticed is a click when I apply acceleration then brake, my mechanical skills are basic but I do my own servicing or when something needs attention I go online and try to figure out what’s wrong.. that been said any ideas on what could this noise be? TIA

I'd get under the car and check that the drive shafts are not loose in any way. A worn uni could do this.
