Hey guys I had my 2006 diesel d40 serviced yesterday. Today I noticed a couple of drops of oil on my drive. I checked it out and it is coming from a rubber hose that looks like it comes from the oil filter just down to the bottom right of the engine bay.
Any thoughts ?

It may be just some left over oil from the filter change. Where the filter screws on to the engine, there is a little gutter type of set-up, that drains any oil away from the engine block when the filter is unscrewed.

Yeh cool Its pretty slow so I will give it a few days and see if it stops if not I will take it back to the mechanic. Is that what the hose is for ?

Yeah i'd say so, mine hasn't got a hose but does have a barb where the hose should be haha

That is the drain hose from the oil filter, will drip a bit after a filter change.

I used to stuff a bit of rag into the end to stop the drip on the garage floor.

Will stop pretty soon
