Hi guys,

Cant figure out where to start.. got a bad shudder when i take off from stand still with any more then very light throttle to the point it shakes the car so just nursing it around for now.

Although if i start in 2nd it hardly does it even with hard acceleration?

Cannot get it to do it in 3rd 4th or 5th at all.

Been told numerous things like unis/mounts but i thought it would worsen with speed like a center bearing does?

Any ideas?

No pressure washing and would have off road couple times last winter but nothing recently, no towing because QD32 haha..

Ive noticed slight vibration when slowing down from around 20km to a stop also today, just been trying different things to see when it does and doesn't vibrate.

Ive got a mechanic dead set that its the tranny mount but im not convinced

tranny mount should be very easy to check by rolling under her and looking at the mount, maybe with a jimmy bar give the box abit of a wobble.

Check the center bearing it should be firm with a little play, look for rubber shavings ect. I replaced 3 on my D21 in 500k I guess it was a thumping noise unlike anything when it is was buggered.

Yeah mine looks old and worn but im being told if thats what's causing it then it should worsen with speed not get better,

Ill do that mount today/tomorrow then look at the next thing, got a feeling ill have a new driveline after a couple weeks haha :/

Yep it probably is the issue, I had to tow a mate 150kms after the bearing flew apart. Also if I had my time again I would drive a QD32, bloody good motor.

Okay so tried the new gearbox mount and no change, we noticed that when loosening the mount the engine shifted backwards towards the diff then had to push the gearbox back towards the front to line the new one up
