Hankook RF10, Maxxis 771, Kumho KL78

Well I rang a couple other mobs and got quoted the kumho's at $1390 and the maxxis at $1332.

I guess it will come down to tread preference really. The kumho looks a more "open" tread as opposed to the maxxis. Saw a mate with 235/xx/15 maxxis and on that width it looked way to cramped I thought, almost verging on highway looking.

I ended up with KL61's. They buggered the order up so gave me these (more expensive) for same price. Cost $1450 fitted, balanced and wheel alignment. Extremely happy with the job they did.

I had some more Maxxis Bravo 771s fitted a few days ago. I managed to get 61,000klms out of my previous set of 771s, so I had no hesitation getting another set. At $219 a corner, they are good value compared to many other 4WD tyres.

I got 60,000 out of my old ones and they are now going on my old mans pajero, I'd estimate I would have gotten another 20,000km safely, so hopefully he will.

hankook RF10 for me, quiet on road, great in mud,on the beach. LT 265/75-16

Hankook MT's

Just put the Hankook MT's on in 265 70 R17.( basically a 32" OD)
Seem pretty quiet on the road except for slow cornering.

Did'nt come with whitewall which I wanted but that's life.
Paid $270 a tyre from Jax in Ashmore.

The tyre sidewall pattern also really suits the Later model 17 inch STX rims.

Also happy with the Hankook Mt, had them on for few months now 285/75/16 pretty quiet and decent for a Mt in the wet so far.
