As topic states I have dropped my damn battery from just below waist height. I made the mistake of trusting the handle on it. It landed on a bottom corner and has round that corner and then landed on its side.
Have I buggered the battery??

That's a big impact. What kind of battery is it?

AGM - possibly ok, especially if it's spiral wound
Gel - possibly ok, although the gel can be crushed
Flooded - possibly ok but plates may misalign

The problem is also that the cells can distort, bend and move. It's likely that the actual physical damage hasn't deformed the cells (there's often a small gap at the bottom of the plates) - I guess you could give it a cycle and see how it goes.

Watch for leaks around that corner. The casing is compromised, take care!
