I'm another new boy

I've been lurking here for a few years, and have decided to join. The forum has been a good source for me and now that the faithful D40 has done 160,000km I have some stories, and a few little glitches starting to show up.
My background is as a carburettor repairer, now retired, and that is of very little use with a modern diesel!
Boy, have I learnt a lot in the last 4 years of D40 ownership.
Most of our use of the vehicle is on camping/fishing trips to anywhere, and as it is our only vehicle, it also gets to traipse up and down the main roads.
In summary, I am very happy with my D40, and have even managed to improve a few areas, I reckon.
I'll get to posting a few messages in the appropriate areas soon
