Whats the deal if you have a bit of an 'incident' while 4wd'ing.

Do you tell / Have you told the insurance what you where doing, is 4wd'ing covered. or did you flat out lie and make up something else?

interested to know what those who have claimed have done

There was a post a while ago where many suggested that being up front and telling your insurer that you plan to use the vehicle off road is the go because there seemed to be some and I don't remember any specifically, that didn't insure for off road use. Just because your vehicle is a 4wd isn't always enough to convince insurers that you will get it dirty.

Mine are good about it and don't want to know what I do, from memory some where told if it's not on a GPS then it's not insurable (not sure who's GPS though) and other I think were told they needed different policies. I think with everything insurance based it always pays to be honest with them because they wont mind screwing you if you don't
