Loud air noise 07 stx

Hi guys just wondering if anyone's had a problem like this.....
In the past 2 weeks I've noticed off take off mostly in 1st & 2nd gear this loud air leaking noise or something of a kind which seems to be coming from the engine...it sort of sounds like air pressure being released from a compressor if you know what I mean. It also has been happening on the free way when you gear down 07 2.5 turbo diesel thanks look forward to your replies

If it's only happening when you are on the gas, I'd suspect a boost leak. Could be any of the hosing between the turbocharger and the inlet manifold, or the intercooler itself.

i have a simmilar problem with my 08 d40. what was the issue with yours in the end?
