Gday,
Name's Michael, 23 years old and living in Karratha, north west of WA. Been in the Pilbara for the past 18 years :O New to this forum and 4wding. I haven't actually got my Navara yet but it's only a few weeks away (fingers crossed)
I'm buying a 2004 D22 ST-R off my old man, from memory it has approx 140'000km's on the clock. Umm fitted with some 32/33" muddies (which scrub badly) alloy bullbar, a hardcover and dvd player. Getting it at family prices so too good to say no!
Anyway, plans for it are a 2" suspension lift (Ironman) and 2" body lift which I will be getting from Zordo on this site. Following that I'd like a Safari snorkel, Some driving lights and maybe a chip down the track.
I've read mixed reviews about the Ironman suspension kits if anyone has strong opinions either way about these please let me know.
My uses for the Navara will be recreational 4wding mostly, there are some quite challenging tracks up here so I want to make it a very capable vehicle. I don't plan on towing often at all, and on the odd occasion there will be a dirt bike or 2 in the back.
Looking forward to learning the ins and outs of these cars, and getting out there and experiencing the Pilbara outback some more!!!
Any feedback on my choice of mods etc is more than welcome
Cheers
Michael
