Nipple into steel intercooler piping

hey fellas,


after todays effort, me and STUTE have installed a xr6 cooler onto my nav, using 2" steel piping. no pics as yet as i am waiting for powdercoating.

My question is how do i mount the vacuum hose that goes into the intake pipe?

Obviously i cant cut it off the ali original and weld it on?

Any trade secrets? i was thinking of welding a nut on with a nice tight fit, then using a little black silicon?

For a boost gauge ?

nah for the factory vacuum hose that goes in there, if you were to put a boost guage in you'd "t" it off this hose

I used a 6mm instrument tube fitting.stainless steel,if you can get one and your tig weldings ok,use a 309 rod too join to the carbon steel
