radiator coolant change.

hey guys..

changed the coolant yesterday on my 06 diesel d40. i may hav overfilled it because the reservoir is well over the max line when the engine has been standing for a few hours. not much difference in level when engine is at normal operating temp either.

however, im sure i didnt get 11 litres back into the radiator n reservoir. i completely drained all old coolant via drainage plug and removed bottom radiator hose.

is there any tricks i should know about for refilling??

when u refill it you should run it for a bit with the cap off to let trapped air out and top up as the level drops, did u fill the overflow or did it run out of the radiator?

yeh i did hav it running while topping up. coolant flowed out of the radiator and close to flowing out of overflow.

does it matter if its overfilled??

i would take some out its it nearly overflowing from the over flow
