Rear Axel

Hi All,

I can here a strange sort of whirring sound coming from the rear of my Navara, it does it when its under load and when I pop into neutral.
I jacked up the rear and spun both wheels by hand thinking it was a wheel bearing but I couldn't hear anything that really stood out? Any ideas?

Check the drive shaft between the transfer case and the rear diff. Try moving it - it should be very solidly in place.

Rear wheel bearings are fairly sturdy.

You could drop the diff oil and check it for particles.
