Just traded the D22 for a D40 and the rear headrests are missing. the dealer wouldn't replace them and I was trying to find out if it passes roadworthy without them, according to ADR's headrests should be fitted to all forward facing seats, anybody got a clue?
:confused2:

Mmm . When I purchased my D22 it had no rear head rests , turned out they had been removed to fit child restraints . Does it have child restraints ?

Yep it does, will have to have a look at them but I think they are factory fit.

Hang on a minute.....you were buying the truck, you were handing over money......and the dealer wouldn't replace missing parts......something seems wrong with this.

I would have thought they would be a roadworthy item, if you were hit from behind the rear seat passengers head would easily go through the back window.

When you read vic regs it states, where provided , head restraints must be secure and in a sound condition, check with another roadworthy tester,

It's my understanding that a used vehicle must be in a roadworthy condition when sold from a dealer. As stated above they would be required for a roadworthy I would think.
