I want to replace the steering wheel switches in my 2013 RX in order to add the radio/phone controls. The switch pack has arrived but straight away I ran into a problem... I can't work out how to remove the airbag assembly so that I can get to the screws holding the switch pack on each side. Everywhere I search I find the same set of instructions - use a screwdriver to lever the wire spring through the hole in the underside of the steering wheel. Herein lies the problem. Mine doesn't have that hole!
There are two plastic plugs, one on each side near the top of the wheel. I've removed the plugs and tried to look into the holes but I can't see anything useful, or even why they're there, but can't help feeling they must be the key to solving my dilemma.
Does anyone here know how to do it on my model?
