G, day folks,
Both my wife and I are currently stunned by our new gastroenterologist advice given to us on Friday. As you are all aware on a previous thread, I have suffered from an aggressive abscise that attached itself to my pelvic floor muscle.(RLIs revenge of the Arse)
I cannot believe, that 2 years ago, I had a small pimple on the entrance of my ARSE (Anus, freckle, gaszots, quoit, ring or the excretory opening) instead of going ASAP to my doctors as advised by my wife, I choose to ignore her advice. Three days later the pimple became a boil, that’s what I thought at the time. (In fact it was the abscise that was tracking deeper into my pelvis floor area, causing a pressure build-up of mucus which was trying to escape via the pimple/boil)
This little pimple has caused me to have 17 operations under general aesthetic. One of the operations was a lifesaving operation correcting a bowl blockage as a result of me having an ileostomy performed. (An ileostomy is an artificial surgical opening to bring the intestine to the surface of the abdomen. This opening is called a stoma. Stool/waste comes out of this opening rather than traveling through the intestines and then out through the Arse/rectum into a stoma bag)
Now my wife and I have been advised that I have to have my large bowel totally removed. (Total Colectomy procedure) So much for the advice I had three weeks ago, advising me that I was about to have my stoma/ileostomy reversed and I was to be put on Remicade infusion therapy every eight weeks for two years, then hopefully i should be in remission. (what a load of shit this advise turned out to be)
My wife and I will be researching other specialists in Sydney in the coming weeks, seeking alternative opinions and options. I am sick and tired of taking all this medication.
I am currious to know if there is any members out there who have had their large bowel removed? I would sincerely like to hear your opinions regarding this matter.
Regards,
Paul (RLI)
