Snorkel Head

So

I managed to pick up a snorkel kit for my d22 but its missing the ram head. (was on ebay and a reasonable price)

I have called Nissan and a genuine head replacement is $83. my question is though, has anyone tried running a different head, on a genuine snorkel. There are plenty of units for the $30 - $50 range. with all shapes and sizes available.

I just don't know if the 'bend' on them will result in the head pointing at a non level angle.

any advice would be great

(yet to fit the snorkel as a don't want to drive around with no head on it at all.. )

In my old 75 series landcruiser I replaced the mushroom type ram with a Safari was about $35 then 15ys ago one big clamp held it in place. Perhaps measure the outside diameter of your pipe and give them a call, that ram has better water separation than the genuine product as well.

What size pipe. you could copy the pic somewhere here with double heads made from PVC pipe fittings. vbg
