thinking of buying a 2004 d22 3ltr diesel turbo

hi all after selling my much loved non turbo 2.7 d21 navara ive been looking at a d22 navara
its the 3ltr turbo model has done high ks 335 but looks tidy enough for what im after
what are some common issues I should look for ?
wont be modified much slight lift some 32s and a snorkel then just drive

2004 should be pretty good, earlier ones had weak pistons. The egr system can block up the intake giving high exhaust gas temps, if they blocked that it's a good sign. The vp44 fuel pump can be problematic, if you can put an ecutalk on it and check the spill valve and icv readings that will tell you if its still good. Then just all the usual stuff.
