Gday guys. I had a pair of new Tough Dog 41mm foam cell shocks installed in the front of my 2004 D22 Navara and have just noticed that when the front end is at full down travel the upper control arms hit the shock absorbers. Just wondering if anyone else has installed these shocks into their D22 and if they are having the same issue as myself ?
Cheers

Same as mine although they were just scraping.
Take the shock out and file away about 4mm from that side,.
The UCA is a soft metal so it is easy to do.

our uca's (and lca's)are a lot stronger than most
dont worry bout grinding a bit off
like i said its a common issue with d 22's
try a set of bilsteins , same issue

Can someone please post pictures of there control arms grinded off , i was just about to purchase the tough dog kit and then stubbled across this

I have a full tough dog kit installed with no issues (Leafs, Tortions, Shocks all round), they do hit slightly but it doesnt worry me much to be honest. i dont even notice it. i have not filed or grinded anythng from underneith the car but i`m sure it wouldnt hurt as i read of many people doing it, i have not bothered as im about to install some new superior engineering UCA`s which will solve this issue.
