Transfer case oil seal leaking

Hi all I'm new to the forum so please be kind I'm in need of so help. My transfer case is leaking oil out the input shaft seal now I have removed every thing exept the faulty seal. Now the seal seams to be very in there I can't get it to come out I have tried a few thing like screw driver between the seal and housing I think the seal has a metal outer. Has any one ever done one and how did you remove the seal
