Hi all,
First of all I have to say 95 % of my driving is on the black top. Just got rid of my steel rims fitted with 265 MT tyres and fitted a set of CSA alloys with 255 HT tyres, what a remarkable difference. Road noise down to damn near zero and after a couple of 600 km round trips, the fuel economy has improved by 1.5 ltrs per 100 k's. The fuel economy was measured by the tried and true method of fuel tank fill versus odometer reading/known trip distance and also on a trip I have done many times on the old tyres and rims, so a fair comparison. The wheels look better than the black steels and saves me money, gotta love that. Has anyone else experienced this sort of economy improvement?
