Vq40 expected life span

Hi all .
Can anyone tell me what the expected lifespan of the vq40 engine is ?
Reason I ask is we're looking at an r51 pathfinder which has 260,000 on the clock and trying to assess wether it's worth considering.

I would think it probably comes down to maintenance and servicing moreso than an actual life span. If it's got a good service history and it is in good condition with no problems then it might be worth considering.

It was owned by a winery in margaret river and got used to run small amounts
of wine to customers in Perth.
So lots of those k's where highway.
Also has all of the maintenance records from new.
Going into the yard tomorrow to take it for a run so will peruse the records as well.

Have a look at Clubfrontier.org as they will have many high mileage VQ40's .The Frontier comes with the VQ40 as has the R51 Pathfinder since 2005

Thanks been lookin heaps but decided not to touch it.
Went into the yard today and they've got it in pieces having
some problems with the cooling system.
The salesman who we've dealt with before gave me the hint
not to bother.
So we went looking around and found a nice pajero exceed for the
right price and signed on the dotted line for it.
I still have my d21 dual cab for the silly stuff though so all good.
