your opinions on roll tops?

i am thinking of getting a roll top for my tub as it is more secure and versatile then a canopy or tonneu cover.
what are downsides? it takes up a little space at front and may interfere when carrying a load which i want tied tight to sports bar?
anyone got one? would you recomend?

i am a tradie need something very secure for tools but also versatile for different size loads
