ZD30 Nav won't start

Well after trying / changing a multitude of things from starter motor, glow plugs etc my problem ended up being the injector pump.

Not a cheap exercise but I'll hopefully get another couple hundred thousand kms of reliable running from the Nav now.

VP44 has a dodgy reputation world wide. Bosch have a monopoly on it so everyone gets shafted.

There is some sunshine in the story. You got to try a few different things and learn more about the engine BEFORE spending any $.

The better news is that you didn't spend the money on the fuel pump first, and then discover that it was just a fuse.

Good to hear that it's going - shame it was the pump, but let's hope it goes for a long time now!

Yeah bloody vp44 haha.

Yeah I didn't want to change the pump until I was sure it wasn't anything else, which murphy's law ensured was the problem haha

Oh well saves me having the trouble when the other parts failed eventually anyway

i had the same problem, figured it out to be the pump. $750 for a used replacement
