Interesting read, sounds plausable.

Bearing's to tight or not lubed enough could explain the heat needed to melt piston's.

Interesting reading info about the balance shafts, not sure I'd trust what I read on the net about them though, would want to see the report that the testing company wrote before pulling the shafts out.

what i don't get is how does more vibration from stuffed balance shaft cause melted hole in piston ????

I agree with use. Not properly lubed bearing's could cause extra heat.

mine were rooted. not sure if thats were the problem started or not tho.

hahaa extended the dipstick will be the first mod. 2nd was to tell everyone they changed something else n claim theyd fixed the problem they couldnt originaly find.

I rekn mine doesnt have long left....but i rekn the dealership has something to do with it.
