Catch Can

Hey all,

Been trying to find out about catch can install and purpose. Can anyone fill me in on what it does, where it fits and maybe how to go about it?

sits on the breather line and catchs the oil that normally would go into the air intake.
engine oil plus fine dust that normally gets through air filter and ad in soot from EGR combines to form a black build up in the intake. which eventally blockes it up.

I was looking at them yesterday at supercheap but couldnt bring myself to pay the $79 they were asking for one.
Are you able to make your own and if so does anyone have any plans.

I paid $150 for mine, but I am lazy and want something that fits straight up.

don't forget that most catch cans will require a filter medium to be installed in it to catch the oil mist.
for a professional setup check out provent.

" Purebrands in Ballarat (03 53312311)" have them.

on the provent catch can did you hook up the oil return line to your sump
