I couldnt find any mechanical temp gauges with active sound alert/warning however was able to find "electrical" temp gauge with wanring beeping. Does any1 know how to wire this up? mechanical straight 4wrd but electrical im have nfi. Do i just find the existing wire temp gauge and splice into it?

I can see a wire coming from the temp sensor in the engine bay...should i splice into that?

The wire in the temperature sensor modifies a signal from the ECU ... let me quoth from the Manuel:

DTC P0117, P0118 ECT SENSOR
Component Description

The engine coolant temperature sensor is used to detect the engine
coolant temperature. The sensor modifies a voltage signal from the
ECM. The modified signal returns to the ECM as the engine coolant
temperature input. The sensor uses a thermistor which is sensitive to
the change in temperature. The electrical resistance of the thermistor
decreases as temperature increases.

That means there's no guarantee that the signal you see on that wire is going to be valid for the gauge that you want to hook up. Worse, placing another electrical component on the wire might interfere with the original signal and the ECU will have a heart attack over it and throw up the dreaded CEL (Check Engine Light).

Then again, it might work, the only sure way to find out is to try it!
