Quick question, what's the story with the fuel tank and pump in a turbo diesel? Replacing the fuel injected KA24 with a TD27T with mechanical injection, but what about the tank? Low/Hi pressure pump? Baffled tank or not important? Currently I've got a non-baffled tank with an external surge tank and hi-pressure pump? Can I keep this arrangement to feed into the mechanical injection pump?

Cheers and Merry Christmas all.

can't use a high pressure pump. just use a low pressure pump to feed the surge tank and let the IP feed direct from and return to the surge tank.

Stock arrangement is no pump in the tank, just an intake, with a baffle around the pickup.

Thanks gents, so the IP will pick up from the surge tank if it is a foot or so below the IP? I assume there is a bleed point or manual primer on the IP?
