i smashed my front diff and i just wanna know if people would advise me not to take out the diff and put the cross members back in so i can still drive it while i rebuild it. obviously i will remove the cv's and drive shaft from transfer case.

Unusual to have damage to the teeth. I was always lead to believe that Nissan diffs were pretty good in terms of strength.

It won't be a problem driving with the diff out but put some rag in the hubs to stop dirt getting in.
