Hey all
Just bought a d40 2.5 6 speed man 07 and I wanna lift it 50 mm
Just wondering how it will affect my fuel economy.
Thanks in advance.:cheers!:

what dion said ... closely followed by Scotty.

mind you, neither of the drive a D40 - but i do ... LOL

Lifting it will expose greater frontal area of the tyres, creating more drag.

I think Dion's over exaggerating, the difference would be closer to 0.001.

Have not noticed a difference. On way to Arkaroola over easter

10km/hr averaged 11km/l on way up
with a large amount (40hrs-but only 120km) of low range 4WDing and the trip back (used jerries) averaged 9km/l

That was all with the lift and traveling fairly heavy on way up an back - not towing
