G'day folks, I thought I'd better join after I just bought my '07 D40 cheap for a bit of off roading, firstly in the vic high country and then who knows where, Well all dependent upon me being able to keep it running.
I'm an new import to Aus and I want to be able to see as much of it as I can.

Welcome aboard.

The high country is fantastic, and so is the Yarra Ranges. We love the northwest of Vic as well, there are places like the Pink Lakes (not so pink when we visited them, but still great) and just over the border to Lake Mungo.

Towards the east is also good country, although a little touristy for our tastes, particularly as you go north into NSW and cover the south coast region around Eden and Bega - although they're good to visit (and we love the little town of Central Tilba, try the cheese shop up the end of the street).
