    D22 manual locking hubs

Really good, no complaints, nothing hardcore just beach work. Only minor complaint could be the bolts rust like crazy, so they need looking after.

    Wheel alignment & steering wear

It seems every 40K I have been needing to get a wheel alignment (heavy wear of the inside camber) and the slop taken out of the steering box (10 - 15 degrees play in the steering wheel). Is this something all D22's suffer from or am I just lucky?

    D22 manual locking hubs

Thanks fellas. I bought the ROK hubs off Ebay. There were no AVM's listed but the ROK's look to be identical bar the branding. I will put them on over the weekend. A notable difference is the brass bush vs bearings in the OEM hubs.

    D22 manual locking hubs

I'm looking for a replacement set of hubs. Any recommendations? I wasn't sure of the exact number of splines, is it 28? Do you reckon these would fit...

    Stock Radio Err

I had the battery disconnected the other week and before I had the chance to enter the code, the kids (and their mother) had a go randomly pressing buttons; they locked the radio. :pissedoff: I have tried disconnecting the battery to see if it would reset. Nothing :deadhorse: Anyone have any...

    ZD30 coolant drain plug

I'm going to do my coolant this weekend. Manual differs from this description of where the cylinder block drain plug is. "Remove cylinder block drain plug located at left centre of cylinder block." Diagram shows it to be slightly rear of the oil filter drain pan. Can anyone confirm this?? Cheers

Timing Chain Failures and Oil Filters

I have changed the oil in my 2005 D22 ZD30 STX (240,000 Ks) since new using Sakura or Ryco filters and Fuchs Titan Ultra Lube 15W40; changed every ~7000 ks. Never had a problem (touch wood :))

    D22 ZD30 Manifold Clean 240K

Would engine temp have anything to do with why my manifold is so clean? I have had the car since new and have always warmed (idled) it up before driving. EGR doesn't kick in before 1200rpm (?) and the car idles at 750rpm. Maybe the higher cylinder temps combusted the EGR gases more efficiently...

    D22 ZD30 Manifold Clean 240K

When I popped the EGR pipe to plate it last weekend the pipe was 1/3 blocked by carbon/oil crud. Thought I'd take off the manifold to clean it as it's never been done (and there was some crud in it). Probably wasn't necessary but only found that out once I had it off, but now its done I'm happy...

    D22 ZD30 Manifold Clean 240K

    D22 ZD30 Manifold Clean 240K

Howdy, Big day, I just had the manifold off my 2005 with nearly 240,000 ks on the clock. I only did the EGR blanking last weekend so I reckon it looked pretty good for the ks. [/IMG]
