There is a blank off hose near oil filter for vacuum it has grabbed on mine put a split but looks fine. That took me ages to find as it looked perfect I've broke it twice changing oil filter.

Sick of it running like a dog, so replaced MAF sensor and blocked off EGR. wait and see how that works. Replaced MAF with VDO one $180 plus freight better than the $492 Nissan in Canberra wanted.

I have had this same noise in several vehicles, a WB ute which turned out to be long skinny leaves rubbing on the fan. I am guessing that these A/C - heaters would be a bit better sealed than a WB. I have had this noise occasionally in my d40 but turn it off and goes away when turned back on...

Just done the auto test everything worked just a click in the fan then it kicked in on low then hi. No codes apearred on the dash so I guess that tells me it's all good with the electric fan

I haven't let it get that hot, does this operate the thermo looking fan on rhs of radiator( looking from drivers seat)? Or are you referring to the fan on the water pump? I will try it to see if it's working anyway Thanks

You smell the coolant sometimes but it's not dripping like it has dumped any, there is no residue and doesn't appear to have any bubbles. If you top it up it Just spits it out till it has it's level again

That could be it I haven't really heard it roar only when cold and you get going. It only has two light force 240 blitz on the front no winch. The mechanic put a silicone type stuff in the fan to see if that would help as Nissan say it isn't serviceable and want over a grand for a new one. I...

I tried the heater on Sunday and it did help a bit. I will give 4th a go and see if that helps, Thanks for the ideas
