I bought an 'octopus keyless entry kit' off ebay for my 1998 navara.
the wiring diagrams arent helping me a whole lot, although i havnt had a lot of experience with electrical apart from installing head units.
i have located two wires with constant 12v that unlock and lock the doors but not sure which wires from my keyless entry kit need to tap into it?
any insight would be greatly appreciated. auto elecs are too expensive ha

im not sure how the setup is in your car but i have a 2010 d22, tried installing a alarm with keyless entry and found that only 3 doors have a electric module actuators to open the doors and the drivers side is only a switching sensor to open all the other doors. in mine i think it just switches the earth on the switch to open and close the actuators on the other doors. it sucks.... i tried tapping into the 2 wires and tried all the combinations my wiring diagram showed me but the door locks just close and opens back up again, the relays in the module click over but i think i need a constant supply to the switch in the door which my keyless entry cant do, i think i need 4 new actuators and then wire them all into the keyless entry..

i wonder if yours is the same...?

hope it helps or give u an idea.

I wouldn't have thought the other doors should need any wiring. When you put an actuator in the driver's door, the movement from that on the locking arm should lock and unlock the other doors. Maybe give that a try before you go and start replacing all the other actuators.

I got mine installed by Nissan prior to delivery so I'm not sure how they have hooked it up, but the only time it doesn't lock is if the driver's door is not closed properly.

Sorry late reply, yeah basically I bought a driver's side actuator and mounted it and wired it into my alarm. Works all sweet.... My mate bought the d22 kit from Nissan and paid top dollar, I bought my actuator for 25$ from jaycar and works like a treat. I did find its just a basic switch. It was quite easy to do...
