Hi D40 team, I have a 2014 D40 Spanish built, it has done 120k and I am going to start doing my own oil change, does it matter what oil I put in it?

To a certain degree yes, don't skimp, get something decent.

Normally I wait for Supercheap / Autobarn to have their 50% off sales and stock up.

Get a good oil that's synthetic, 5w/30 and recommended for Diesels.

I think with your 14, it should be the same as my 13 and not have a DPF which makes it even easier.

I've been using Nulon or Valvoline when they're on sale.

(it should go without saying, ALWAYS change your oil filter with each service).
(I also change my Fuel Filter every 2nd oil change)
