My understanding is that they only line up when it at TDC. Two gears are different sizes and so to get them to line up perfectly you have to turn the engine over until they do. I believe the is a "cc" on the lower gear.

Hi I recently got the Ecutalk cable aswell. Is there somewhere that's lists the "normal" parameters for all the sensors? So I can check of the vehicle is running "normal" Cheers.

Why are you taking the cover off? Don't need to remove harmonic balancer. The plug with the square hole is for installing a locking bolt In to the three piece gear behind the cover. Maybe you need to down load the service manual ( in the d22 section of this forum) before doing anything else...

yep its a three piece gear, the manual explains about putting in a locking bolt BEFORE removing the pump gear. ( changed mine a few weeks ago.) the C's will only line up when its TDC, the pump gear is a different diamater (there is a name for this, but cant remember what it is) so you have to...

Do you have bash plates?, some kits have "spacers and Locating brackets" that sit on or under brackets and cross members.

Ended up going through local diesel mech, got it overnight and didn't have to bother with core deposit. They got it from DTS. I put clear hose on the primer/filter and had air coming through, ( before changing pump) but made no difference when I bypassed it. So I guess the diaphragm is cactus...

Got the new injection pump in today, no real hassles. Running good again.
