Sorry George, I think I know what you mean...I just spliced the amp remote wire into the head units red accessory wire in the adapter cabling. Ill do a proper guide in a few weeks that should be pretty comprehensive. Cheers, Craig

    D22 Audio Upgrade

Hi Jon, I would embed the images except it only allows you to do this for 4 images, so for the sake of consistency (plus I didn't have time then to make a heap of posts with 4 pics in each one) I decided to leave them all as links. George, I did mention the remote base control in my post. As...

Audio upgrade installation Alright Guys, sorry for the wait...just been a bit busy...and slack in getting round to posting up, this post itself may be a bit brief as well so if you have any questions about any of it just fire away and I'll get back to you when I can. So going of my OP, as said...

    D22 Audio Upgrade

Hey Guys, Just a quick update - ordered and installed all the Fusion gear I listed in my OP, sounds great, will post up details and photos of the install soon! Went on a week long ski trip to Perisher straight after installing it all and it performed very well! Cheers, Craig

    Installed New Radio...

Looks like a pretty good unit for pretty cheap in comparison to many others out there. If I get tired of my factory double din with the new speakers and sub, will definitely be looking at one of these. Thanks for the write up. Cheers, Craig

    Winch Isolation not working...??

Damnit! Now that I think about it, the negative lead is simply bolted to the outside of the winch case so makes sense... Oh well, it will have to wait for now and then do the cable swap... Thanks guys, Craig

    Winch Isolation not working...??

Hey Guys, Just installed a new constant 500A isolator switch for the winch, however due to space and fouling issues I ended up installing it on the negative cable (runs to the driver side battery, positive is on the passenger side battery)...only thing is now, it's not actually isolating the...

Snow chains - same brand multiple model differences in fitting same tyre? - SOLVED

Hey Navarian, Yeah I do believe that 4wds used to be exempt from the compulsory requirement to carry snow chains but while reading around recently in my research on purchasing some, it appears 4wds are now lumped in with the rest and must at least carry a set. I am going to Jindabyne later...

Snow chains - same brand multiple model differences in fitting same tyre? - SOLVED

Thanks Old Tony and Nathand22, sounds like it's a much of a muchness and the better option will the the CA460 as it fits many more tyre sizes. It's really all I was asking the manufacturer, whether there is a performance difference or some reason for preferring one over of the other. Cheers...

Snow chains - same brand multiple model differences in fitting same tyre? - SOLVED

If you're in a RWD or in 2WD mode then put them on the rear (unless going down a very steep hill you might then put them on the fronts for braking and turning traction). If you're in 4WD mode, put them on the front for driving and turning traction. If you can afford two sets, then put them on...

Snow chains - same brand multiple model differences in fitting same tyre? - SOLVED

Hey Guys, Been looking into getting some snow chains. Would love to get myself some Konig Rallye Mud & Snow chains but at close to $500 a set they are a bit out of reach at the moment. I've basically settled for Autotecnica snow only chains which are supposed to be fairly good quality for a...

    D22 Audio Upgrade

Hodge, that would be awesome if you had an extra sticker you could shoot my way and yeah will definitely be pumping the IM! Thanks Mad Possum but I like the higher RMS of the Fusion unit and trying to stay all the same brand if I can. Thanks for the feedback Onemofo. This should be something...

    D22 Audio Upgrade

Hey Guys, So going of what I've learnt from my thread HERE and other threads on the matter, below is what I've come up with to upgrade the audio in my D22 Nav without replacing the factory head unit: Front Speakers: http://www.fusionelectronics.co.nz/car/products/speakers-cp-series/pf-fr6030 -...

2010 D22 Factory Double Din Stereo Questions

Hi Pirate, Haven't done anything on mine yet, waiting for a free weekend to check it out. If you ever plan on doing any river crossings though, I would mount your sub behind the rear seat or if possible, onto the rear seat itself up higher again to reduce the possibility of killing it if you...

2010 D22 Factory Double Din Stereo Questions

That's what I mean though, you wouldn't expect such a cheap 4x4 (in comparison to top range models anyway) to come standard with a double DIN blue tooth head unit, power windows, etc which never used to be standard items in cars yet are missing a few small things that all up probably only cost a...

2010 D22 Factory Double Din Stereo Questions

G'day Hodge, Thanks for the info, bit disappointing as it's a great unit for something factory...will have to pull it out and see what I've to work with and maybe try the high level input option by splicing off the rear speaker wires or something. Yeah I was quite surprised and disappointed...

2010 D22 Factory Double Din Stereo Questions

Hey Guys, Looking to upgrade the audio system in my new 2010 D22 Nav but I want to retain the double din factory head unit if I can as it already does everything I want...I just want to improve the audio quality by adding some rear speakers (maybe replace the fronts as well though the stockies...

    Heat switch

Sorry but from what I have read I believe this is incorrect...the act of putting it into gear is what drops the revs back to normal idle speed and is a way to test if your neutral switch is working. Cheers, Craig Edit: Found it - http://www.navara.asia/showthread.php?t=4089
