For this dawes valve, a pressure supply is needed to unseat the ball in the valve. On the Patrols it seems that people are just drilling into the pipe that goes to your intercooler. As I don't really fancy drilling any holes, my question is, could I just run a tee piece and a bit of extra vacuum...

Has anyone actually installed one of these on their navara just out of curiosity????

Sounds good to me, I think ill just run the single dawes valve setup with a needle valve which I will also probably just keep in the engine bay as I cant see myself tampering with it too much once I have it at a desired setting. Cheers Camo.B

Also check all your fuel lines for any little cracks around the ends. You may have air getting into the system somewhere

You have definitely bled the fuel system after replacing the fuel filter? I had this issue a couple of weeks ago after replacing mine. Just gave the system a good air bleed and she has been right as rain ever since.

Getting real tired now of this fault finding haha. Couldn't manage to get a hold of an ECU nor an oscilloscope. I jumped the wire going from the ECU to the Solenoid using a scotch clamp and still no luck. So I think I'm going to cut my losses and just attempt to install the manual boost...

The filter brand I have is a ryco.

G'day guys, Quick question, I've replaced the fuel filter assembly in my 2.5l 08 Navara and air bled/primed the system and car starts all well and good.... However, if I leave it for over say 6 hours without starting the car, I have to air bleed/prime the system again and the car again starts...

Its just cause it may save me alot of money in the meantime as im looking at an ECU replacement as the solenoid is not getting the right signal to the tc boost control solenoid.

Might be able to yeah, just have to see if my mate is willing! I am just a tad hesitant in case the immobiliser trips. Which I really dont want.

Was just planning on looking at the actuator arm movement at idle as that would indicate the solenoid was getting a good signal I guess.

Also, anyone reckon a manual ECM would work in an Auto? Wouldnt be driving anywhere, its just to see if the solenoid works with a functioning ECM. If none of this works by the way, has anyone installed a dawes and needle valve to the D40? And if so, where the results what you wanted?

Just looking at page BL-82 in the workshop manual, it does say that the key needs to be registered into the ECM. "NVIS (Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System-NATS) has the following immobilizer functions:

Ah, I have now found that it does need to be programmed with a registered key. That sucks

Will try cleaning them and see what happens also. Ive seen alot of second hand ECM's on the likes of ebay and wreckers that match my part number. Just looking in the workshop manual I cant see anything about programming, but I will look further into it.
