    Shock absorbers are u/s from factory.. fit something good.. I went bilstiens and the ride is so much better. bulbar,driving lights and snorkel. Also remote lock with an immobiliser.. turning the key does not cut in in 2015.. Greg

    Pros and cons to blocking the EGR valve

    Pro's Minor turbo spool up and low RPM Improvement, Less soot in oil, Less Exhaust smoke, Minor Economy improvement and soot build up in inlet manifold greatly reduced. Possibly increased timing chain life due to less corrosive acids in oil. Con's Nothing to my knowledge. Regards Greg

    The other option is use a tub liner and replace the whole tray for very little.. say $300 or less.. heaps of trays available new due to alloy tray conversions Greg

    Black oil will be the norm for you from now on. I Changed my oil and filter at 5000km, and have since changed oil and filter at every 10k and an intermediate oil change at the 5 k interval.. Regards Greg

    Which Bilstein Shocks do I actually Need?

    Absolutely.. they really change an st-r.. the front end bouncing stops and the rough ride where the bump stops are pounded stops. You end up with a consistently firm ride with a major reduction in harshness. I wish I did it when it was new!! Regards Greg
