Hi all

My father in law has a d40 v9x

This afternoon while he was driving it lost pretty much all power i went for a run with him and plugged in my obd scan tool.

And found it wasn't getting any boost pressure.
It would get only as high as 4psi

Now i know the boost solenoid can be an issue in yd25. but i haven't seen anything about it when it comes to these motors.

Or could it be the actuator on the turbo

any experiences would be most appreciated
cheers

Intercooler and the pipe from the turbo to intercooler are prone to fail. I’d also check all the pipes etc on the induction system

I assume no codes.

Yeah I checked all those things FGK288
and today i checked all the vac system and the actuator and all is working perfectly.

I've done alot of research today and i have read a bit about the egr valve failing and being left open what do people think about the likenesses of that

You ‘should’ get an engine light for that.

You can also have a fuel pressure code that won’t give you a check engine light, I occasionally get it due to a chip. . I’d be getting an OBD code reader. They are like $20 off eBay.
