Default New engine, how to adjust the mileage on the clock?

Recently installed a new replacement engine and it has a lot less mileage then what the clock displays for the previous engine, is there any way or any diagnostic tool to adjust it at all to reflect the correct mileage?

I doubt it and if you're in Australia it is illegal anyway. The odometer reflects the km travelled by the vehicle, not just the motor. You could try and get a lower km one from a wrecker if you wanted to, but it still isn't legal...

Ah ok fair enough. I believe the km are stored on the instrument cluster itself, but as far as I know they are not reprogrammable. I don't know who makes the gauges, but if you can work that out they may be able to help you.

It's jail time for adjusting the odometer here in SA, I imagine the other states are similar?
