Boost gauge install on 2006 Spanish built STX D40 6spd manual!
G, day folks,

The following is a farken step by step, photo instruction for installing a a farken boost gauge hose to the boost sensor which is mounted on the farken driver’s side front of the intercooler. I farken meant to have posted this up last year when I fitted a boost gauge to my then farken D40. Enjoy!

1. Pop the bonnet and undo black plastic clips on top of the grille with a flat bladed screw driver. See photo

2. Undo plastic clips on the bottom of the grille. See photo

3. With a 12mm spanner undo top two bolts that hold intercooler into place, note passenger side bolt also secures the bonnet safety strap. See photo

4. Undo boost sensor connection from sensor. See photo

5. Be-careful and gently wedge the intercooler forward so you can access the boost sensor. See photo

Part 1

Regards

RLI

Boost gauge install on 2006 Spanish built STX D40 6spd manual!
G, day lounge lizards,
Part 2

1. Use CRC or WD40 to spray onto hose and fitting, gently remove hose from boost sensor. Be-warned that the plastic fitting that hose is attached to is extremely delicate. See photo

2. Using a tee piece (buy from Supercheap around $1.50 each) See photo

3. Cut a small piece off hose and fit it to one end of the tee piece. As previously stated be careful not to put too much pressure onto sensor fitting due to it being brittle. Put a small dab of rubber grease onto plastic fitting and gently push hose on (like Krafty pg pushing into super admin Dave!) See photo

4. Now fit boost gauge line onto driver's side of the tee piece and then reconnect intercooler hose. Wallah!!!!, now you’ve done it Trend Setters! See photo

5. Now enjoy a FARKEN picture of my D40 before I sold her!!!

Regards,

RLI

when mine boost spikes as soon as you punch the gas it hits 20 but then hangs around the 18-19psi region
