5 inch calmini and insurance

Thinking bout putting 5 inch calmini lift in my new d40. Has anyone on here got one and what's the deal with insurance is there any company that will look at you? Or will they all just laugh when you ring up?

I would imagine it could be covered by the majority of insurance companies if you have it engineered but im not even sure if you would be able to get it engineered, what state are you located in?

there are a few guys on here with that kit, the one guy who is on here the most at the moment is "MANNICK" here is a link to his build thread.

Im pretty sure you will find he doesn't have it engineered and i don't know of anyone who has.

I have been speaking to an engineer about this and he said it "could" be done but you definitely can't use the extended shackles cause there illegal. but he would still need to go over it closer.
